Our Alliances and Network

CCIAP is a bilateral trade Chamber supported by an extensive state, national and international network. The Chamber is a member of the Australia Philippine Business Council (APBC), Commerce Queensland (CQ) and the Ethnic Communities Council Queensland Inc.(ECCQ). It enjoys reciprocal membership relations with the Australia Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NSW) Inc. (APCCII) and the Australia New Zealand Chamber of Commerce Philippines (ANZCHAM).

The APBC’s primary aim is to promote trade, investment, and technical cooperation between Australia and the Philippines. This Australian peak council provides primary forum and focal point for networking between Australian and Philippine business communities and seeks to foster friendship, understanding and mutual benefit between the business communities of both countries. It co-hosts trade and investment missions from the Philippines and provides informed and influential business contacts in the Philippines.

CQ is the state umbrella body of Chambers of Commerce and Industry made up of 5,000 members from all industry sectors across Queensland. This covers over 100 regional and metropolitan Chambers of Commerce representing 12,000 members, and 52 trade and professional industry associations representing 32,000 businesses. CQ has the license to operate the World Trade Centre in Brisbane and is a member of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI).

ACCI is the peak council of Australian business associations. Its member network has over 350,000 businesses represented through Chambers of Commerce in each State and Territory, and a nationwide network of industry associations. ACCI together with peak bodies of 24 other countries including the Philippines form the Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI). CACCI together with 4 other world regional bodies form the International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI).

ECCQ is the state’s peak multicultural organization representing the interests of the many people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds who are part of the broad social community of Queensland. ECCQ has a State focus but through affiliation with the Canberra-based Federation of Ethnic Communities Councils of Australia (FECCA) ECCQ contributes to national policy and debate on all matters concerning ethnic communities.
